Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in the milk.

Step 2

Add the ground beef, garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, egg and 1 tsp salt to the soaked breadcrumbs and stir with a fork until combined.

Step 3

Place about 2 tablespoons of meat mixture in your hand and press a mozzarella cube into the center. Shape the meat around the cheese, forming a ball. Repeat with remaining mozzarella cubes.

Step 4

Cook at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.

Extremely excellent meatball recipe Tink! I followed your recipe pretty close and that's saying something for me! I used really good mozzarella but the parmesan was from the green can and I used a little less because of that. I used them to make meatball subs. Because the meatballs were so flavorful and tender, I topped with a simple marinara sauce. I'll be using this recipe often, with and without the mozzarella. This one goes into my hard copy favorites.

I made these meatballs and served them in spaghetti sauce. Some ate them as appetizers and some made up meatball subs pouring the sauce over the top. Purely delicious either way you have them!
