Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a food processor place the first 3 ingredients (walnuts - garlic) and pulse to mince. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest and salt and pulse until it is ground to a paste.
Step 2
With the processor running add the olive oil in a thin stream and process until well combined.
Step 3
Add the cheese and pulse to combine.
Step 4
This can be frozen for up to 3 months -- if you will be freezing add the cheese to the defrosted pesto.
