"This is so simple to make and it makes a lot so you can freeze some for another day. Although it looks involved, it is not. It is mostly frying the hamburg and then adding the rest to cook. It uses canned beans so you don't have to cook the dry ones, yet it tastes like you did. The spices in this recipe are perfect, I think. You may put it into a crockpot and cook it most of the day or do it on top of the stove. I use this Chili to make a Taco Salad with all the fixings. I also use this on top of Tostito scoops; top them with Monterey Jack cheese and salsa and then put them in the microwave till the cheese is melted--super appetizer. This Chili makes the house smells sooooo good while cooking."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a Dutch oven, fry the hamburger till done; add chopped onion; mix well.
Step 2
Add the next 6 ingredients and mix well.
Step 3
Add the beans and spices and mix well.
Step 4
If doing the crockpot, put it into it and "crock" it all day; if you are going to do it on the stove, put a cover on the pot and lower the heat to simmer (just under a boil) and cook for about 3-4 hours---you may need to add a tad of water if you are doing it on the stove.
