Step by Step Method
Step 1
Wash and soak beans in clear water overnight.
Step 2
Drain and cover beans with fresh water. Cook in a 5-quart saucepan, adding water from time to time as needed (boiled water).
Step 3
When half cooked, add crushed tomatoes, garlic and cornstarch. Continue cooking until beans are fully cooked.
Step 4
In a separate frying pan, sauté chopped onion and green pepper with butter until only glossy.
Step 5
Add black pepper, paprika and salt, pour into beans and simmer for 5 minutes.
