"I found this recipe in TOH's Cooking for Two. It was sent to them by Edie DeSpain of Logan,Utah. I HIGHLY recommend that you do use reduced-sodium chicken bouillon granules(read: it's WAY TOO MUCH salt if you use the regular like I did). Also, if you can't find reduced sodium bouillon granules, mix up the dry mix as directed and use 1 tablespoon gravy mix AND 1 tablespoon flour to prepare the gravy. If you want beef gravy,just sub beef bouillon granules for the chicken.This makes 1 cup of dry gravy mix,which equals 8 batches.Each prepared batch equals 3/4 cup gravy. Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a small bowl mix together the bouillon,both amounts of flour,and pepper.

Step 2

Store in an airtight container in a cool place for up to 6 months.

TO PREPARE FOR GRAVY


Step 3

In a small pan over medium heat, melt butter and add 2 Tablespoons of gravy mix.

Step 4

Cook and stir until lightly browned,or until the color you want is reached.

Step 5

Whisk in water until smooth then bring to a boil,cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
