Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

Step 2

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

Step 3

Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan, evenly covering the base.

Step 4

Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

Step 5

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

Step 6

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Step 7

Stir in the vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, and heavy cream. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the filling is smooth.

Step 8

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

Step 9

Place the pan on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

Step 10

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to allow it to cool gradually.

Step 11

After an hour, remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature.

Step 12

Once the cheesecake is cooled, cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

Step 13

Just before serving, melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to the package instructions.

Step 14

Using a spoon or a piping bag, drizzle the melted white chocolate in a circular pattern on top of the chilled cheesecake, resembling the craters on the moon. Let your creativity shine!

Step 15

Add a touch of black food coloring or use an edible black marker to enhance the craters and create a more realistic moon appearance.

Step 16

Sprinkle silver sprinkles on top of the cheesecake to add a magical sparkle, if desired.

Step 17

Slice the Lunar Cheesecake and serve it chilled.
