We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

  • Step 2: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

  • Step 3: Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan, evenly covering the base.

  • Step 4: Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

  • Step 5: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

  • Step 6: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

  • Step 7: Stir in the vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, and heavy cream. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the filling is smooth.

  • Step 8: Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

  • Step 9: Place the pan on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

  • Step 10: Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to allow it to cool gradually.

  • Step 11: After an hour, remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature.

  • Step 12: Once the cheesecake is cooled, cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

  • Step 13: Just before serving, melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to the package instructions.

  • Step 14: Using a spoon or a piping bag, drizzle the melted white chocolate in a circular pattern on top of the chilled cheesecake, resembling the craters on the moon. Let your creativity shine!

  • Step 15: Add a touch of black food coloring or use an edible black marker to enhance the craters and create a more realistic moon appearance.

  • Step 16: Sprinkle silver sprinkles on top of the cheesecake to add a magical sparkle, if desired.

  • Step 17: Slice the Lunar Cheesecake and serve it chilled.
