I was so happy to find this at Zazz! I needed it to make a dip. We like this even better than store kind and it's so much easier on the pocketbook!

I recently made up a few of the dry mixes here and this was one of them. I just made a meatloaf tonight using the mix and it is an excellent substitute. It's great that there is no salt, which I try to watch and cut out when I can. I will use this from now on in place of the expensive store brand kind.

I love making an eye of round roast in the crock pot and the aroma in the house while it cooks. My recipe is a 2 or 3 pound roast, one package of onion soup mix, black pepper, and some water in the bottom of the crock (the onion soup mix is salty). This copy cat recipe was so much better then the real thing! I used Truvia sugar substitute and store brand beef granule boullion. I used regular celery seeds and that worked out fine for me. Didnt miss the saltiness of the original mix and was able to use beef broth instead of water with the copycat version. I was also able to rub the copycat mix into the roast a lot better. Wont be buying onion soup mix in the store anymore....sorry Lipton!! LOL Made and reviewed for the Game Forum's BillBoard Tag Game.
