"This was his Polish mother's recipe that he made a lot. Could use veal instead of pork, and could use red bell pepper. Season All (now made by Morton). Thank you to the person that made my wish come true lol on Worcestershire sauce. The recipe called for 4 tablespoons, I'm guessing it was teaspoon and that's what I put."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Spray 9x13 casserole dish with Pam.

Step 3

Mix all ingredients except tomato sauce thoroughly, shape into a loaf.

Step 4

Mix tomato sauce with 1 can water, spread evenly over top.

Step 5

(They basted meatloaf back then.)

Step 6

Bake 1 hour in a 350 degrees F oven.

Step 7

Let rest 10 minutes covered in foil tent (they did that too).

Ten stars! Oh my goodness, "too much of a good thing is wonderful"! And that applies, for sure, to this meatloaf! I was unsure of the tomato sauce/water part, but it turned out very well. The only thing I did differently is to chop the bell pepper and onion, instead of mincing, because we like it better a bit chunky. So, so good! Thanks for sharing, Dee!
