Step 1

Mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, butter and milk in top part of double boiler. Cook until thick ,stirring constantly.

Step 2

Add vanilla when done.

Kerfuffle-Upon-Wincle (KUW)

Very sweet, but not very chocolatey! After cooking over simmering water in a double boiler for twenty minutes, the sauce never thickened noticeably. Even at room temperature the sauce is more chocolate syrup-like or, the consistency of chocolate gravy. Because it is very sweet, it might be better stirred into milk, or served over pancakes or biscuits. I served mine over sour cream banana muffins. Tagged for Pick Me!
