Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Layer asparagus on the baking sheet. In a small bowl add remaining ingredients and mix to combine. Pour over asparagus and top with lemon slices.

Step 3

Place in the oven and roast for 8-10 minutes or until the asparagus is crisp on the outside and tender in the center.

Made to have with oven baked fish and they were extra delicious. it's all about the lemon and the cheese which tasted so great!

If you love asparagus you'll love this recipe...it's easy to prepare and clean up is a breeze...next time I'm going to hold off mixing the cheese with the other ingredients and just sprinkle it on after the asparagus is cooked...made for "What's on the Menu" tag game...

Wow - these are great! We love asparagus and fix them in a number of different ways - but this is going to be a favorite! LOVED the lemony, garlicky, parmesany flavors! So easy to make and taste like you really worked hard at it. What I love best is that a recipe won't be necessary in the future - this is a delicious no-brainer now that the ingredients are indelibly inscribed in my pea-brain!

I made this last night as written with garden fresh asparagus. Unfortunately someone rang just as I was to take it out of the oven, so it went over about 5 minutes and the ends burnt. I WAS SO MAD as it was just one of those sales calls and they made me mess up my beautiful asparagus! But with all that said it came a little overcooked but absolutely delicious. I will be making this again soon, even though it was overcooked and still tasted wonderful it can only be scrumptious perfectly cooked!Can't wait! This is a must try for any asparagus lover!

Daily Inspiration

We absolutely love roasted asparagus and this recipe was wonderful. The only change I made was to roast the asparagus in olive oil, salt and pepper and then half way through the cooking process, I added the lemon slices, juice and garlic so the garlic wouldn't burn. Soooo good.

Great way to fix asparagus! I had to sub shredded Mexican cheese for the parmesan. The lemon really added some zip!
