"A KC favorite! I make it often in the summer months, it's a great salad to make for a BBQ party when serving a larger crowd and to avoid a soggy salad, it can partially be prepared ahead. All the amounts listed are only a guideline you can adjust all ingredient amounts to you liking. If your serving a huge crowd then just increase amounts or just make two. I strongly suggest to make your own homemade ranch dressing, the bottled really reduces the flavor of this salad, I have a few great ranch dressing recipes here on this site you may want to check out. Cooked diced bacon is a great addition really you can add just about anything you want, feel free to add in a layer of 1 pound cooked ground beef cooked with with a pac of taco seasoning mix, and/or some sliced black olives This makes a great salad to take to a potluck party I promise you that nothing will be left over and everyone will want the recipe! This is best layered in a large glass trifle bowl. See my recipes for Ranch Salad dressing #recipe3887... #recipe234...#recipe16471"
