Step by Step Method
Step 1
Prepare noodles according to package directions, undercook them slightly.
Step 2
Meanwhile brown hamburger with diced onion and bell pepper. When it is almost browned, add minced garlic and continue to brown. Drain grease.
Step 3
Add spaghetti sauce to meat mixture and add garlic powder, cajun seasoning. Simmer while you are doing the next step.
Step 4
Combine 2 1/2 cups Italian cheese blend, eggs, cottage cheese, basil and parsley. Mix well.
Step 5
Once pasta is done, drain well and add to the cheese mixture. Place cheese mixture into a large dish sprayed with vegetable oil spray.
Step 6
Pour the meat mixture over the top and stir. Cover tightly and bake for 1/2 hour at 375 degrees. Uncover and top with remaining Italian cheese.
Step 7
Bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and starting to brown a bit.
