Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Butter and parchment paper 2 9 inch cake pans

Cream butter

Gradually add sugar in and beat

Sift the dry ingredients together

Mix into creamed mixture beat hard

For frosting :

Beat egg yolk until creamy add juices brandy and zest

Add enough powdered sugar to be stiff enough to spread
