Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except for the bay leaves together until smooth.

Step 2

DO NOT BROWN THE GROUND BEEF.

Step 3

This is what makes the texture so fine.

Step 4

Cook over medium low heat until meat is browned stirring frequently.

Step 5

Place bay leaves on top.

Step 6

Cover and simmer on low heat for 3 hours.

Step 7

Stir occasionally.

Step 8

Remove bay leaves.

Step 9

Skim fat from top.

Step 10

Serve over cooked Al dente spaghetti noodles.

This was a tasty sauce I enjoyed but hubby found it to be a bit on the sweet side. I will make this again and maybe cut the sugar down to 2 tablespoons and see if he likes it better. I love how the meat cooks through the sauce and gives this a small grind texture. Thanks for sharing your recipe here.
