Step by Step Method

Step 1

Rinse and cut cabbage into wedges.

Step 2

Put cabbage into large soup kettle along with garlic cloves, onions and carrots.

Step 3

Just cover vegetables with water

Step 4

Add parsley,bay leaf,boullion and peppercorns to soup kettle.

Step 5

Bring to boil

Step 6

Lower heat to low and allow to simmer for 1 hour.

Step 7

Peel and quarter potatoes.

Step 8

Add to vegetables

Step 9

Add ham

Step 10

Simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 11

Season to taste
