"I make this whenever I have stale bread laying around but of course it can be made with fresh bread. Just break the bread up into pieces and line them on baking sheets and let dry for a couple of days."

Step by Step Method

Put dried bread pieces and soda crackers in a food processor and pulse until at desired consistency.

I used this on some fresh shrimp and baked them in the oven. It worked like a charm and the coating was nice and crispy when they were done baking. Noe exactly like Panko but it was good! Thanks for sharing Bea! Linda
