Step 1

Mix the sauce ingredients together, put on low heat and let simmer.

Step 2

Then allow the sauce to simmer for 10 minutes, or until as thick as you would like it to be.

Make 4 equal beef patties

Mix the Accent, Lawry's and pepper together and put in a shaker.

Step 5

Season the patties with this to taste

Don't smash down these are thick burgers

Grill until done

Butter the buns grill

Apply the mushroom sauce to the crown (small buns for the 1/4-pound and a big bun for the 1/3-pound burger), add a slice of swiss on top of that (to hide the mushrooms and keep it in place better place a slice on the heel put on burger and close it up.

If I were to vote for a comfort food burger, this would be it. The sauce it what made it different placing into the hug-me-sweater category. Perfect not only for those cold winter months but for anytime and especially for summer grilling. Because I didn't pay enough attention to the details, added the sauce on top of the cheese instead of the other way around - still delicious. Thank you, Dee, for sharing.
