I used basil, garlic, dehydrated onions, reconstituted and parsley. Made a good tasting steak from the grill.

The T-bone steaks that we used came out really well by following this recipe. The herb/shallot topping pumped these babies up, accentuating the juiciness of the steaks. We'll be using this method over the summer when we can use our grill. Thank you, ellie, for sharing. Made it for PickMe Tag.

I cut this down to 1 serving...but cooked 2...4 ounce pieces of sirloin steaks...they came out perfect with cooking 6 minutes on each side...they were so tender and full of flavor with the herb mixture...I just used cilantro...yum...I cooked them in a cast iron skillet...made for "Billboard" tag game...

I cut this down to 1 serving and got 2 meals out of it. I used basil and thyme for the spice. Delicious! Loved it straight off the grill. Thank you for sharing it with us! Linda

I am usually a purist when it comes to a good steak. Salt & pepper and on the grill, that's it. BUT decided to try this recipe with fresh herbs from my garden. Oh was I ever amazed at the flavour the herb mixture gave the rib eye without overpowering it! Absolutely eye rolling! I used purple lacy basil, green basil, Italian parsley and a wee bit of cilantro. I shared this steak with a friend and wished I hadn't, it was that good! Thank you Ellie for this keeper! Made for Billboard Recipe tag.
