Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup shallots, minced (2 shallots)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3/4 cup herbs (fresh, your choice such as parsley, tarragon, basil and cilantro or whatever is available)
  • 4 steaks (2 pounds) beef rib eye (8 ounce each steak)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl whisk together the first 4 ingredients (-mustard) and then gradually whisk in olive oil and then the herbs.

  • Step 2: Prepare barbecue (medium high heat).

  • Step 3: Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper and brush lightly with olive oil. Grill steaks until charred and cooked to desired doneness (5-10 minutes per side. Transfer to platter and let rest 5 minutes and then spoon herb mixture over steaks.
