"This is a great tasting steak recipe we really enjoy. I use my #recipe7170 for this but you can use your favourite Montreal Steak Spice."

Step 1

Place the garlic and Montreal steak spice in a pestle and work into a paste with the mortar.

Step 2

Sprinkle fresh ground pepper over steaks and rub the paste over all sides with a spatula; let sit for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Grill the steaks over direct medium-high heat until cooked to desired doneness. I cooked these 2" thick steaks for 5 minutes per side and they were perfectly medium-rare.

The combination of garlic and Montreal steak spice is terrific. I pan fried my steak 4 min each side. At first high heat 2 minutes then turned down to medium high. Added some mushrooms when I flipped the steak. The steak was so tender I could have cut it with the fork. A do again recipe thanks Bea
