Step by Step Method

Step 1

Put the ham and beans in water.

Step 2

Simmer 2 1/2 hours.

Step 3

Last 1/2 hour put in potatoes.

Step 4

Cook until done may need more water.

Step 5

Fish out potatoes and top with a squirt of mustard and onions on top.

Pretty much how I make mine. Except no potatoes. :-) I've never put mustard on them before. I didn't have any plain mustard, so I used spicy brown. It was good. I mixed it all together with the beans when I ate it. I used a ham hock instead. It was a crazy day; I had to make this and then reheat it to eat for supper. Thanks!
