Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place cornmeal on large piece of wax paper or a large shallow bowl.Add Old Bay seasoning, parsley, garlic salt and pepper. Stir with fork until well combined.

Step 2

First dip fish fillets one at a time in beaten egg. Allow excess egg to drip off. Coat with cornmeal mixture.

Step 3

Heat oil in large skillet. Panfry fillets 4 minutes on each side, or until fish flakes easily with fork.

While I didn't have catfish I did have fish fillets, Old Bay and the cornmeal along with the rest of the ingredients. Made for a great supper! The seasonings and the cornmeal along with the old fashioned dip and and coat made for crispy and delicious fish. Looking forward to reruns.
