Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large bowl, thoroughly combine 1/4 cup of the condensed soup, the ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, onion, garlic, egg, chili powder, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, and pepper. Shape into 4 firm patties.
Step 2
Add in some bacon fat, heat over medium-high heat, cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside; Spoon off most of the fat.
Step 3
In same skillet, mix together remaining soup, the milk, and mushrooms, then return patties to skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 20 minutes or until patties are cooked through and no pink remains, turning occasionally.
Step 4
Serve with mashed taters.
