Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix vineager, brown sugar, ketchup and soy sauce together in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil while whisking. Remove from heat.
Step 2
Mix up water and cornstarch to make a slurry, and add to the other ingredients and return to heat. Whisk while it thickens, this will happen quickly. Remove from heat and cool, If you are using the pineapple and marichino cherries, add them now.
