Daily Inspiration

Surprisingly different, but then again similar to a dish I make often at home. Interesting ingredients, but they definitely work. I, too, cut the macaroni noodles back to 1 cup. Turned out well -- the edam is a stringy cheese, but it made a nice addition.

I was between giving this a 4 or 5 star rating. As the recipe is stated, I'd give it a 4 because there is way too much macaroni and not enough sauce. I had read a previous review, and know how much we love our sauce, so doubled the amount of tomato sauce and ended up not using a good amount of the cooked macaroni. With the right sauce to pasta ratio (for us), we thought this was delicious! We loved the red pepper and leek addition and the spices and herbs were an unexpected treat! My husband kept saying how much he loved it. Thank you!

I used 1 cup of elbow macaroni and 1/2 pound of ground turkey breast. Everything else was 1/2 also. This was t-riffic, Dee! Maybe b/c turkey is kind of bland, I did add salt to serve. And chopped up the pickle after I took the photo. Left-overs will disappear quickly!

This has a great flavor and is very easy to make. We felt it had too much macaroni per amounts of other ingredients.

This was a big hit with the family. My husband and grandsons went back for seconds. It had a tiny "kick" from the mustard that was a nice touch. This dish brought back nice memories for me. When living in the Netherlands as a teenager, I used to make something very similar. Made for CQ19.
