  • 336 grams dry elbow pasta (dry 3 cups)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup leek, sliced (white only, sliced thin)
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper,chopped
  • 1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (grainy Dutch mustard)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup edam cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the macaroni ,drain

  • Step 2: Brown the ground beef in a skillet,

  • Step 3: Pour off the grease

  • Step 4: Add in strips of red pepper and the sliced leek.

  • Step 5: Stir in the spices and the tomato sauce, and water

  • Step 6: Simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 7: Add the macaroni and mix with the sauce.
