"This is a fantastic cake starting with a cake mix and so easy to make. I bake it in an angel food pan and it comes out great. Frost it with a butter frosing or cooked frosting and sprinkle it with coconut and you will have a beauty of a cake. This is a nice dark cake and the white frosting accents it."

I've been using this same recipe for years. I live at high elevation and it comes out as written PERFECT. Used this as cupcakes and layered cake. We like ours with a simple ganache if baked in bunt pan, and buttercream with cupcakes or layered cake.
