Step by Step Method
Step 1
At medium-high heat, sauté the pieces of sirloin in a pot with a little olive oil.
Step 2
Add 1/2 c finely chopped onion, cinnamon, salt and pepper and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
Step 3
Cover with water and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Then add the chickpeas and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile: Prepare stuffing by mixing ground meat with one chopped onion, egg, rice, finely chopped parsley, salt and pepper.
Step 5
Stuff all the lightly salted artichoke bottom, by packing the stuffing well so it adheres perfectly.
Step 6
Sauté stuffed artichokes on all sides in a hot pan with oil until slightly brown.
Step 7
Move the cooked sirloin pieces and place them around the artichoke bottoms. Cook covered over low heat, for about 30 to 40 minutes. with a little water or broth dont let dry
Step 8
Check for doneness with a wooden skewer. The artichoke bottom should be tender.
Step 9
Plate with the sirloin on one side and artichokes in other side
