"Todd Wilbur @ topsecretrecipesdotcom is the source of many of my treasured copycat recipes. I've been trying more beverages lately & this recipe looked like it could be a new favorite. Here's what Todd had to say about this recipe: "Denny's Fusion Favorites" are creative drink mixes blended from the chain's soda fountain w/a variety of added fruit flavors. The secret ingredients in these trademarked drinks are the flavored syrups dispensed from giant squirt bottles next to the soda machines & I discovered we can easily create these syrups using Kool-Aid drink mix powder. This drink is the top choice on the Fusion Favorites menu & is easily made by dissolving a Kool-Aid mix into a little lime juice for a cherry/lime syrup that can then be stirred into a blend of Sprite & Minute-Maid lemonade. If you want to significantly reduce the calories, use Sprite Zero w/light Minute-Maid lemonade. You can hardly tell the difference." I'm a fan of Sprite Zero & agree w/him. I'm also so NOT A FAN of beverages that require ice because of their watered-down flavor, so be sure your ingredients are VERY COLD. ENJOY!"

This is a really tasty limeade drink. It has a zesty aftertone that's really quite refreshing. I added lots of ice, to keep it chilled while we sat on the deck enjoying the sunset. Thanks for sharing a great recipe, twissis. We enjoyed it.
