"This is a recipe I found on a box of Rice Krispies years ago. I make every year to add to my Xmas treats tray. These freeze well, just add a sheet of wax paper in between the cookie layers so they will not stick together. These can easily be made gluten free by using gluten free rice crisps cereal."

Thank you for sharing this quick and easy to make treat. We enjoyed these festive balls very much. The date, cherries and coconut work well together. Made for Sweet December 2014.

Daily Inspiration

I just love dates and cherries so I knew this would be a keeper for my Christmas goodie list. I elected to make these into squares vs. balls and they turned out great. Nancy : )

A great treat that goes together in no time and Bea's right...great to make ahead for freezing and then pulling out for last minute goodie trays. Tasty little delights. I also like her recipe for the date/walnut balls as well.
