Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat oil and brown onions, season lightly.
Step 2
Add potatoes, sauerkraut, water and barley.
Step 3
Cook down adding water as needed.
Step 4
Meanwhile, brown flour and oil and season to taste.
Step 5
Add caraway seeds at end.
Step 6
When potatoes are done, add browned flour mixture.
Step 7
Cook until thickened, adding water if needed.
