Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place butter in a 10 in glass pie plate. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until melted.

Step 2

Stir in remaining ingredients and toss well until the nuts are coated.

Step 3

Spread out in a single layer.

Step 4

Microwave on high, uncovered for 4 to 6 minutes, or until nuts are heated through, stirring every 2 minutes.

Step 5

Stir again and pour into a foil pie plate; cool for 15 minutes.

Step 6

Store in an airtight container.

The first time I made these, DH found them to be a wee bit messy to eat. So what I did this time was to cut the butter in half and bake them in a 350F oven for 5 minutes. This solved the problem. I used Chipotle hot sauce for the Tabasco. DH thought they were perfect! Thanks Bea for sharing this recipe. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
