  • For best results, use a French or country bread that is a day or two old.
  • If you don't have a brandy-based orange liqueur, substitute with orange juice.

  • For the butter, substitute coconut oil for a vegan-friendly option. Coconut oil has a higher smoke point than butter and is a healthier alternative. It also has a mild flavour that won't overpower the dish.
  • For the half and half, substitute almond milk for a dairy-free option. Almond milk is low in calories and a good source of calcium and vitamin D. It also has a subtle, nutty flavour that will complement the other ingredients.

Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Replace the French bread with cinnamon swirl bread. Increase the liqueur to 2 tablespoons and add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the egg mixture.

Fresh Fruit Salad - A light and refreshing accompaniment to the rich and sweet Creme Brulee French Toast. The combination of sweet and tart flavors will bring balance to the dish and make for a truly delicious breakfast.

Eggs Benedict: Eggs Benedict is a classic breakfast dish that pairs perfectly with Creme Brulee French Toast. It's a savory dish that contrasts the sweetness of the French Toast, and the creamy Hollandaise sauce adds a delicious richness. Plus, it's easy to make and sure to please everyone at the table.
