Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a bowl mix dry ingredients and thyme I think a little dry would work).

Step 2

To the mixture, add egg, yogurt and olive oil; mix just until blended (we cover the dough with a cloth and leave for 20 minutes).

Step 3

Heat the oven to 200C/400 degrees.

Step 4

Divide the dough into 8 portions and shape each as balls. Put the balls on a tray covered with baking paper off each other. Make incisions in the form of a cross on each ball.

Step 5

Mist cakes with olive oil and bake them for about 12-15 minutes or until browned on cakes.

Step 6

Subtract them from the oven and again lightly with olive oil.

Step 7

Cover with a towel for 5-10 minutes.

Very good rolls. The conversion I used for the ingredients was 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup corn meal (oops read it wrong it should have been cornstarch), 1/2 cup yogurt and made all else by the directions given. I did skip the thyme leaves but added some dried thyme as directed. Next time I will use cornstarch and make them correctly. Nice rolls though which we enjoyed. Thanks for sharing!
