Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix egg salad together, seasoning to taste. They used a whole shallot minced you do to taste, they also used fresh tarragon, I don't care for that flavor profile but you do you.

Step 2

Butter the rye bread they used a dense rye brod (bread).

Step 3

Place baby lettuce over the butter.

Step 4

Place a heaping tablespoon of egg salad on one side and layer a ring of radishes around the edge of salad.


No special items needed.

I loved the capers in the egg salad, along with everything else. Didn't have any radishes or baby lettuce, but these made fine sandwiches anyway!

We made our open-faced sandwiches on rye crackers instead of rye bread, and it was fantastic. A delicious egg salad, and I was delighted to use up the capers I had in the refrigerator. My lettuce wasn't awesome, so I opted to omit it.
