Step 1

Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl.

Step 2

Form into 8 patties. Or make them larger if you like.

Heat frying pan until almost smoking, add burgers and fry until browned on both sides. Or cook on a grill.

Add your favorite fixings.

Step 5

We like sliced onion, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, mustard and ketchup.

Just had a hankering for an old time burger and this one was perfect for us. Made as directed but used a hot pepper from the garden for the pepper flakes. Served on a brioche bun with melted cheese and tomato. Thanks for sharing this keeper Dissie!

This "Classic" burger sure is tasty, we loved it!!! I made this as instructed grilling the patties for about 7 minutes per side they were perfectly juicy.
