"My weakness is cinnamon rolls so when I saw this recipe I knew I had to make it, OH MY LORD this cake is absolute buttery, cinnamony goodness in a pan. Please try this, you will be so happy you did. This cake would make the perfect Christmas Sunday Christmas brunch cake, or any Sunday brunch cake!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 glass baking pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

Step 2

FOR THE CAKE; in a stand mixer add the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk, eggs, and vanilla and melted butter; mix on low speed until just smooth and combined. Pour into the baking pan.

Step 3

FOR CINNAMON TOPPING; in a large bowl mix butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon together until well combined and creamy. Drop evenly over the batter by the tablespoonfuls and use a knife to marble/swirl through the cake.

Step 4

Bake at 350 for 28-32 minutes or when a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Step 5

FOR GLAZE: in a medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla together with a whisk. Drizzle evenly over the warm cake.

Step 6

Serve warm or at room temperature.

I made the mistake of melting the butter for the cinnamon topping, still very good though, a little crusty around the edges, I will for sure make it again the correct way next time possibly add in some raisins, we all loved it. thank you!

Yikes I can feel my pants getting tighter and tighter, so much calories but so good this may be even better than cinnamon buns, this is too good for words, not something I would make regularly but I sure would make it again, thanks!

Yum! This is one of those cakes that you don't want to make a lot. Don't get me wrong, it was mighty tasty. Very rich and sweet. Good recipe if you're craving cinnamon buns and don't want to take the time to make buns.
