"This may also be served on the side as a sauce and will double well, for the best flavor I recommend to use a good quality brand of cherry preserves such as Smuckers"

I have made this recipe which I first came in upon on another site, so when I searched for it here, I was surprised that it hadn't been reviewed nor photographed. This recipe is the perfect compliment to ham. It is sweet, tangy and the spices elevate this glaze and sauce to a level perfect for the most elaborate dinner party. I also use it as a compliment to roast duckling. I imagine it would be perfect with goose or roasted pork. I normally, double the recipe so I can not only pour it over the ham during the last 15 minutes of cooking but place it in a gravy boat at tableside. This recipe is a must have!
