Step by Step Method
Step 1
Make a two-crust pie shell and put in a 8" or 9" plate.
Step 2
In a skillet saute the onions and cook till partially tender; add the hamburg and cook till done; drain off fat.
Step 3
Add tomato sauce, mushrooms, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Beat the eggs and pour half of this over the bottom pie shell.
Step 5
Spoon the meat mixture into the shell on top of the beaten eggs; arrange cheese slices over this; spread with remaining egg mixture.
Step 6
Put the top shell on the pie and make slits; loosely cover the edges of pie with strip of foil to prevent edges from getting too brown and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Step 7
Cover center of pie with foil and bake another 20 minutes; let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
