"This is a delicious recipe for easy baked beans with great flavor that says to me "this is what baked beans should taste like!" The recipe comes from justapinch.com but I omitted the bacon slices baked on top because I didn't want the added fat... If you want the added flavor of bacon, do what I did and mix in some real bacon pieces with the other ingredients."

Though they aren't made from scratch, these were good beans to have at the last minute with hamburger patties. We liked them and will use in a pinch when I don't have time to make my own.

Easy tasty recipe. We enjoyed it alongside a burger dinner. The recipe didn't specify if the bacon should be fried or raw - I just chopped up uncooked and added it to the mixture - it worked. Thanks Willow for a very enjoyable addition to my dinner
