"These sweet little balls present endless opportunities for variety! And they're not only good, but they're healthy, too! From Soul Food Journey. Prep time does NOT include the 4 hour soak time for the dates. But I must admit to sometimes cheating and not soaking them; adding a tiny bit of orange juice to make up for it... Serving size is an estimate. I get 18 balls out of it, but it depends on how big they are!"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Process all ingredients (except the cacao for dusting) until smooth in a food processor.
Step 2
Form small balls and roll in cacao powder.
Variations: you can roll the balls in crushed nuts or flaked coconut, instead of the cacao powder.
