Step by Step Method

Step 1

Boil fettuccine according to box instructions, al dente(about 5 minutes); do not over cook

Step 2

When the fettuccine is al dente, add the frozen peas to the water, leave for about 2 minutes; drain fettuccine and peas and add to pasta bowl. Add butter cubes, garlic and salt and pepper; toss until butter is melted.

Step 3

Serve immediately

I made this for my hubby because it is a favorite of his. Didnt have frozen peas so I used canned but had to fold them in gently so they didnt get smashed. I doubled the amount of ingredients so he could have the leftovers to add a jar of alfredo sauce. Two different meals out of one recipe plus the great flavor makes this a wonderful meal and side dish. Made and reviewed for Derf's Cookathon 2013. We will miss you Derf!
