Step 1

Remove stems from the strawberries.

Step 2

Using a paring knife or strawberry huller, create a small hole in each strawberry

Step 3

In a food processor, whip brie until smooth

Step 4

Add chives, basil, and a pinch each of salt and pepper.

Step 5

Scoop brie into a piping bag

Step 6

To assemble, place a basil leaf in each strawberry, then pipe in the brie mixture.

Step 7

Drizzle with balsamic reduction, and sprinkle with chopped chives and ground black pepper.

Step 8

Serve at room temperature

Our first strawberries of the season are in but they are quite small so I could not suff them. I cut them in half arranged them on serving plates and dotted the brie mix over them. A wonderful fresh tasting appetizer that is good for you and so delicious. This will be made several . times over our strawberry season
