Blue Ridge Mountains Chocolate Chip Cookies
"Originally taken from another food website. Roxygirl in Colorado was the contributer. April 15, 2005 This is easily my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I love cookies that have that crinkled look and are moist and chewy on the inside. Using shortening and butter is a must."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream shortening, butter, sugars, then eggs and vanilla and almond extracts.
Step 2
Blend dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Step 3
Stir in Chocolate Chip.
Step 4
Drop by large tablespoons (I use a 1 TBS. cookie scoop) onto ungreased cookie sheet, leaving 2 inches room in between to allow cookies to spread, I press down lightly with a measuring cup to bake more uniform cookies.
Step 5
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes until lightly brown.
