"This a dip that you bake with shredded cheddar cheese melted on top. I tried it once with mozarella cheese but it was too hard to scoop through the cheese."

Step 1

Drain and mash black beans leaving some whole.

Step 2

Add chilies (you can add a bit of the juice for extra flavour), salsa, sour cream and half of the grated cheese.

Step 3

Blend well.

Step 4

Pour mixture into medium sized baking dish.

Step 5

Cover with remaining cheese and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

Step 6

Serve warm with plain tortilla chips.
