Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place the first 10 ingredients in a large re-sealable plastic bag and shake bag to mix.

Step 2

Place in the refrigerator overnight.

Step 3

Pour the contents of the bag in the crock of a slow cooker along with the chopped peppers and onion.

Step 4

Mix together the beef broth and cornstarch and stir into the crock; cover and cook over low heat for 8 to 9 hours.

Step 5

Enjoy!

The hubby and I both felt that this dish lacked seasoning...even with all the spices...salt was really missing...I loved the photo that Bea has posted and knew that it was going to be full of flavor...I used beef consomme which is a strong beef broth...but we still had to add maggie to get a nice flavor...at the end...we did enjoy the dish...I served it over rice...made for "Billboard" tag game...

Very good! I forgot to marinate and didn't have any wine or beef broth. Tossed it all in the crockpot with a can of vegetable broth. I used 3 bell peppers from my garden (they were really small) and fresh oregano. Served over rice for a wonderful dinner! Next time I will remember the overnight marinating, red wine and beef broth! Thanks for sharing!
