A great super easy meal to cook during the week that packs a lot of flavor! My DH went back for seconds and wants this to be on my menu rotation. I did not make any changes to the recipe followed it to the "T". Thank you for sharing!

I made this recipe on 3/24/13 for mine and my SO's dinner, but most importantly for the " Billboard Recipe Tag Game ". :) Due to what was on hand,a couple of changes were made to the recipe. I didn't have garlic cloves, but used about 2 teaspoons of garlic powder. For the green pepper, I subbed about 2 tablespoons of green/red freeze-dried peppers. Also, instead of a regular can of diced tomatoes,I used the same size can of diced tomatoes that were seasoned with basil, oregano, and garlic. After mixing together the sauce and pasta,I placed half of the pasta/beef mixture into a deep 11x 7 inch pan. Then I placed half of the mozzarella cheese on top and covered that with the remaining pasta/beef mixture. Then covered that with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan. For me, the baking time was "Spot On".As I was preparing the rest of the dinner,I let this sit for about 10 minute. My SO and thought it tasted good as it was,but felt like it needed a bit more of a kick. So, maybe some crushed red pepper flakes the next. Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "

Sue I made your wonderful casserole today, my plans are to serve it for dinner tonight, the only bad part is that I can't keep myself from eating it, I hope there will be enough left for dinner, I made it as you stated with no changes, this is a really winning casserole, thank you very much!

Fantastic simple recipe with loads of flavour! I searched for kid pleaser and Italian and found this recipe. I substituted left over chicken for beef, added olives and used cheddar instead of mozzarella and this turned out wonderful! Thanks Sue for the great recipe.
