Bariatric Friendly - Lettuce Wrapped Burgers/Cheeseburgers
"Super simple and Super easy! Perfect for those watching their weight, as each lettuce wrapped burger has only 2.23 carbs. These burgers are healthy and delicious. Can't ask for much more than that! I love these little babies and make them often! I use 85% lean hamburger to cut down on the fat, Reduced Sugar Ketchup to cut down on my sugar, but you can use regular ketchup if you want to, however there will be a few more carbs involved. I also use Cain's Light mayonnaise instead of regular mayonnaise to cut down on the fat, but choose what you like. My nieces and nephews love these, so they are kid friendly too!"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a small bowl mix together the spread ingredients, and refrigerate.
Step 2
Heat your frying pan or skillet on medium heat, and add a little butter to the pan.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mix together the beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire, oregano and ketchup.
Step 4
Divide the mixture into 6 sections, and roll each piece into a ball, then press down flat and place on the grill pan.
Step 5
Cook each burger for about 5 minutes on each side. Do not press down the burgers, that just dries them out, and makes them tough.
Step 6
Once you flip the burgers, and the other side has about 2 minutes to cook, put 1 slice of cheese on each burger.
Step 7
Once you have cooked all your burgers and removed them from the pan, assemble them.
Step 8
Place 1 cheeseburger on the lettuce leaf, top with 2 slices of tomato, 1 slice of onion, and a spoonful of spread, then wrap top to bottom with another lettuce leaf.
Step 9
Serve.
