Step by Step Method

Step 1

To make the slaw: whisk dressing ingredients (mayo - celery seeds) in a small bowl to blend. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in cabbage; toss. Cover bowl and chill. ****can be made one day ahead, covered and chilled.

Step 2

To make the barbecue sauce: saute the bacon in a saucepan over medium heat until crisp and browned (5 minutes). Stir in next 6 ingredients (tomato puree - cumin) and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Stir in turkey and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until turkey is heated through, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

To serve: split and toast rolls. Divide turkey mixture and slaw among the rolls. Press tops down and serve.
